Police Intercept Wrong-Way Driver In Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, CT — A suspected drunken driver was not only headed the wrong way on a street in Glastonbury, but scuffled with police after they were able to corral him, an arrest report indicates.

The incident took place at about 9:30 p.m. on Glastonbury Boulevard, police said.

According to an arrest report, police received a call about an erratic driver who was headed the wrong way. Police located the driver, identified as 65-year-old Wethersfield resident Michael Bradshaw, and managed to pull him over on Main Street, but Bradshaw fought with police during the process, according to an arrest report.

Bradshaw was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and interfering with police. He posted a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Sept. 14, police said.
