Should Cell Tower Be Built in Glastonbury?
The town council will hold a public hearing Tuesday on a proposal to build a 120-foot tower on property off Candlewood Road.

A proposal to build a 120-foot tall telecommunications tower on the Seven J Farm property will be topic of discussion at the Glastonbury Town Council’s community meeting at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers of Town Hall, 2155 Main St., to hear public comment on potential location of a communication tower on the property located off Candlewood Road.
According to documents posted on the town’s website, Message Communications Management Inc. (MCM) has a long-term lease with the owners of the 8.91-acre parcel, John and Joyce Vullo. MCM has a long-term lease with New Cingular Wireless — that actually is AT&T — that would use the proposed tower to improve wireless service in Glastonbury and to provide service to other wireless companies, according to the documents.
