SLAM Represented on Jury for 2016 AIA Business Architecture Award

SLAM's Don Crowe Serves as Jury for AIA CT Business Architecture Award

Glastonbury, Conn., June 14, 2016 — Don Crowe, Jr., AIA, Principal and Corporate Market Sector Leader of The S/L/A/M Collaborative (SLAM)* recently served as a jury member for the annual American Institute of Architects (AIA) Connecticut Association 2016 Business Architecture Awards alongside Lucy Diaz of the Connecticut Center for Arts and Technology; and Karen Lika of CPG Architects. The AIA CT Business Architecture Award program acknowledges projects that enhance the built environment and achieve business goals, such as growth, branding identity, or future positioning.  

Mr. Crowe has over 30 years of experience in all phases of programming/planning, design, and client and team leadership experience in SLAM’s corporate market sector. Since joining the firm, his experience includes several new headquarters projects and major corporate renovation efforts. As Principal-in-Charge, Mr. Crowe frequently oversees the design team as well as the development of architectural drawings and CADD implementation. He is well-versed in all phases of the design process, from initial programming and planning operational assessments and schematic design through construction administration. He has led design projects for notable Connecticut and international companies such as The Hartford, United Illuminating, United Technologies Corporation, Eversource, Pfizer, and BELIMO.
