SLAM’s Avery Appointed as CREW CT National Delegate
Monika Avery will serve as Connecticut's delegate to CREW National
Glastonbury, Conn., Feb. 22, 2017 — The Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network recently announced the appointment of The S/L/A/M Collaborative’s (SLAM) Principal and Interior Architecture Practice Leader, Monika Avery, IIDA, LEED AP, NCIDQ, BD+C as Connecticut’s delegate to CREW National.
Founded in 1989, CREW’s mission is to influence the success of the commercial real estate industry by advancing the achievements of women. With over 70 chapters across the globe, CREW provides support to members through business development, leadership development, industry research, and career outreach. Ms. Avery has been an active member of the CREW Network for over 15 years and has served as a member of the Board of Directors and President of the CREW CT chapter.
“CREW has had such a profound impact on my career, both as a professional and a woman,” said Avery. “I’ve been fortunate to have served in multiple capacities with CREW, and this is certainly the pinnacle of my affiliation. I look forward to serving as Connecticut’s Delegate with CREW National, and giving back to an organization that has given me so much.”

Over her career, Ms. Avery has demonstrated a passion for high quality design and commercial real estate, specializing in workplace environments. She has led the design of many major workplace projects in various market sectors, including professional service firms, research & development, science & technology, manufacturing, and higher education. Her scope of professional competency includes interior design, programming, planning, project design leadership, corporate marketing, and business development.
