On Tuesday, May 3, 6:30 p.m., Welles-Turner Memorial Library’s Friends Room. Tea and scones set the stage for a discussion on the importance and benefit of herbal teas. Master Gardener, Judith Dreyer, MS, BSN, RN, will cover the basics of gathering herbs and flowers to dry, store and the basics of tea making. Three tea blends will be offered giving participants the opportunity to taste some of the plants highlighted that are delightful and nourishing. Individual herbs and their traditional healing properties will be discussed that are specifically in these blends. She is the author of “At the Garden’s Gate”, her journey in growing sustainable backyard meadow, following a Medicine Wheel of truths while working with nature. Books will be available for purchase.
