Am I Registered to Vote?

Many people register to vote without realizing they already have. You can check your voter registration status by visiting www.govote.ct.gov. Once on this website, you also have the ability to change your party affiliation, name, address, etc. or, if you are NOT yet registered, you can do so through that site as well.

How to Vote

In-person: All polling locations will be open at their regular locations from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. Personal protective equipment has been issued to all polling locations and will be available for use by voters. Voters will be urged to wear a mask and to observe posted CoVid-19 guidelines.

Absentee Ballots (Vote by mail): Vote by mail will be available for the August 11, 2020 primary. The State of CT is mailing each registered, active Democrat or Republican voter an application for an absentee ballot. Voters do not have to do anything to initiate receiving an application. Once the application is received, please read it carefully. In order to vote by mail, you will need to check off one of the reasons listed on the application. The voter will return the application by mail to the address provided in a postage paid envelope. The voter will then receive a ballot in the mail with instructions on how to vote. The mailing of absentee ballots from the mail house contracted by the State of Connecticut was delayed and mailing started on Monday, July 27 (1 week after the anticipated date). If you have applied for an absentee ballot, you should be receiving it in the mail shortly. To avoid delays, you may drop off your completed ballot twenty-four hours a day at the ballot boxes located outside of Town Hall (see below). Please note that if you chose not to vote by mail, voting at the polls will still be available.
