Water Main Break Floods Basements In Glastonbury

Water had to be pumped out of several homes in Glastonbury on Sunday after a main pipe broke, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Water had to be pumped out of several homes in Glastonbury on Sunday after a main pipe broke, police said.

The water main break was on Spring Street.

Spring Street was closed to thru traffic and motorists needing to get to Willow Brook Drive had to access the street from from the Main Street side. The upper numbers of of Spring Street and higher had to be accessed via Griswold Street to Bantle Road.

The Glastonbury Fire Department was at the scene pumping out some homes with flooded basements as a result of the break.
