Whole Foods in Glastonbury Recalls Apple Tart

Three Connecticut Whole Foods Market locations are recalling “Tarte Aux Pommes” produced and sold in West Hartford Center, Bishops Corner and Glastonbury due to undeclared almonds. The tarte was mislabeled as a “Tarte Aux Pomme 10in” and has a “best by” date between November 20 and December 1, 2014.

The tarte contained almonds as an ingredient, which was not declared on the label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The tarte was sold in the stores between Sunday, November 16 and Friday, November 28, 2014.

Signage is posted to notify customers of this recall, and all affected product has been removed from shelves.

No allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported.

Consumers who have purchased this product from Whole Foods Market West Hartford Center, Bishops Corner or Glastonbury may bring their receipt to the store for a full refund. Consumers with questions should contact their local store or call 617-492-5500 between the hours of 9am and 5pm EST.
