Woman Facing Charges After taking Bat To Car In Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Hartford woman is facing a felony weapons charge after busting up a vehicle in South Glastonbury, police said.

Teora Jonasia Whaley, 20, was arrested following the July 8 incident in the Maston Hill area of town, police said. She took a baseball bat to a vehicle after a disturbance, according to an arrest report. The incident violated a protective order, for which she was charged, according to an arrest report.

Police also found a handgun on her, which led to the felony criminal possession of a firearm, according to an arrest report.

She was also charged with:

  • Driving an unregistered vehicle
  • Illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Failure to carry minimum insurance
  • Second-degree breach of peace
