EAST GRANBY, CT — Drivers near Bradley Air National Guard Base should expect temporary traffic changes Tuesday, July 14, as scheduled maintenance continues near the installation’s main gate, according to the 103d Airlift Wing.
The work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. During that window, inbound and outbound lanes at the main gate will be temporarily closed at different times, officials said.
Traffic will be routed through whichever lane remains open for vehicles entering and exiting the installation.
The main gate is on Route 20 in East Granby and serves as the primary entry control point for Bradley Air National Guard Base, according to a 2020 announcement from the 103rd Airlift Wing. The base is home to the Connecticut Air National Guard’s 103rd Airlift Wing, which is located at Bradley Air National Guard Base in East Granby, according to the Connecticut National Guard.
The wing’s mission includes providing tactical airpower and mission support for Connecticut and the nation. The unit operates C-130 aircraft, according to official Air National Guard information.
Officials urged drivers to use extra caution near the gate and follow traffic direction signs and personnel in the area.
