Prosecutors say investigators uncovered dozens of firearms, ghost guns, and explosive materials, leading to his guilty plea on multiple federal gun charges and a sentencing date set for November 25.
   

• 2026 CIAC field hockey predictions: Picking state champions before the season begins (ctpost.com) — Granby Memorial's field hockey team is projected to reach the 2026 Class S state final, with analysts picking North Branford to edge them for the title. After last year's narrow championship loss, Granby returns standout scorer Camryn Santa and is again expected to be a serious contender in November's CIAC tournament at Wethersfield High.
