I love when I meet other women that also took the plunge to start their own business.  Last week, I had the pleasure of being contacted by Jessica, who started a Market Mommy CT, based off of the regional website “Market Mommy.”  Jessica said she had really enjoyed looking at BuyLocallyCT.com and what it was all about and had contacted me to work together in some way.  I really enjoy networking with other businesses and I think it’s important for small businesses to support one another and boost each other up, so of course, I was all for it.  After learning more about Market Mommy CT and going through Jessica’s website, I thought it was a really great idea and a wonderful opportunity for mom’s or women to have all of these resources in one location to help them get their business started and continue onto success.   So, I’m going to share with you some information on this website that I think a lot of women, especially mom’s, will find helpful and interesting.

Jessica, a wife and mom of two children, was a stay at home mom since the birth of her first child and was always trying to find a way to contribute to their families income.  Back in 2011, Jessica had started a craft business called Hand Painted Glassware by Jessica and it took off!  Jessica was now busy hand painting wine glasses, shot glasses and drinking glasses and filling orders.  So, while researching different resources for her now mom-owned business, Jessica came across MarketMommy.com.  And with the help of MM creator, Dawn, Jessica had started a Market Mommy in Connecticut to help other mompreneur’s.  Market Mommy CT helps women/mom’s get started in their new business venture and how to market yourself in the best way possible while being a busy mom.  Market Mommy CT is a one stop marketing resource!  As Jessica explains on her website, “With millions of mom-owned businesses online, it is hard to set yourself apart.”    And that is why Market Mommy CT was created and is here to help all of you Connecticut Mommies out there.

One great feature Market Mommy CT offers is a free online directory.  That’s right, you can list your business for FREE!  Just contact Jessica here at MMCT/Directory to get listed on Market Mommy CT’s website.  You also have access to a multitude of marketing services and resources, such as branding, advertising ideas, custom logo’s, press releases about your business, budgeting and more.  You can even advertise your business on the website as well.
