McLean Bereavement Support Groups Serve the Community

Whether you have lost a spouse, a child, a friend, a partner, a significant other, or a close associate, a McLean Bereavement Support Group may be of help. We recognize how difficult it can be for your when someone close to you dies. Our Bereavement Support Groups provide a safe and supportive environment to help those who are grieving. These groups are open ended, so you may attend as many sessions as you need.

The following Bereavement Support Groups are offered to registered participants at no cost.

Daytime Spousal Loss Support Group – facilitated by Bonnie Lillis, LPC, meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the McLean Health Center’s Cole Conference Room (located on the second floor). To register, call (860)658-3950 and ask to speak to a member of the bereavement team.

Afternoon Bereavement Group – for all who have experienced a loss (parent, spouse, sibling, friend, adult child) – facilitated by Geri Spano, meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 2:30-4:00 p.m. at Eno Memorial Hall, Simsbury. To register, call (860)658-3950 and ask to speak to a member of the bereavement team.

NEW “Grieving and Growing”– an ongoing bereavement group for all have experienced a loss. Facilitated by Bonnie Lillis, LPC, the group will meet the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 4:00-5:30 p.m., beginning March 14th at the West Hartford Senior Center, 15 Starkel Road, West Hartford. To register, call (860) 658-3950 and ask to speak to a member of the bereavement team.
