And we're off!

The buses came and the kids are gone.  It's official, school is in session.  I am a little sorry to say goodbye to summer this year.  Our family is in one of those "good patches".  The kids, (11 and 14) were getting along, coupled with both being more responsible and independent, meant it was really kind of fun having them home for the summer.  Honestly, I have not always felt that way.  The squabbles and constant hustle from camp to play date to camp and back again had me counting the days until school started.  (let's also acknowledge that doing all this while working full time may have contributed to my stress:-))

I hope you all had an enjoyable summer, and if you are a parent, I hope the transition back to school goes smoothly for you and your children.  If for some reason you happen to be in one of those rougher patches we all go through as Mom's and Dad's, keep in mind that the Youth Service  Bureau is offering another Love and Logic Parent workshop series beginning on September 16th.  I took part in the workshop last Spring, and I think the things I learned had as much to do with our smooth summer as the fact that the kids are indeed growing up.

If you would like more information on the next workshop series, give me a call at (8600 844-5355.
