The Granby Farmers’ Market is getting ready for its 2nd Season. The Market Committee is holding its monthly Market meeting next Wednesday, April 3, at 6:30pm at the Farmington Valley YMCA. This meeting is open to anyone interested in the Market or becoming a volunteer with the Market. The Granby Farmers Market enjoyed a very successful first season and is looking forward to an even better and bigger market this year. Opening Day is Tuesday, June 25, at 3pm. The Market will be held every Tuesday throughout the summer from 3-6:30 at the Farmington Valley YMCA, 97 Salmon Brook St, Granby, CT.
The Market Committee is made up of people passionate about bringing fresh, healthy, local food to the Community. Volunteers for the Market are needed to help with fundraising activities, marketing and promotion, reaching out to area Organizations and Businesses, and social and print media. Volunteers are also needed to assist the Vendors on Market days and help with set up and clean up. On Market Days, volunteers will be overseeing some of the children's activities, different theme days focusing on health and nutrition, and assisting with cooking demonstrations. We hope those interested will be able to join the Committee on Wednesday, April 3, at 6:30pm.

The Granby Farmers’ Market is in alignment with the YMCA to promote healthy living, youth development and social responsibility. The Farmers Market hopes to offer something for all ages and engage everyone from the community. Children will be able to enjoy activities and sample some new foods while their families shop. Enjoy a cold refreshing treat, try out new recipes, learn where your food comes from, participate in different activities, talk with your local Business person and farmer, and enjoy some live entertainment. Vendors this year will include fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy, poultry, fresh baked goods, and maple products, as well as local artisans.
