Connecticut Family Theatre Presents The Wizard of Oz

West Hartford's Connecticut Family Theatre presents The Wizard of Oz – The Young Performer’s Edition on May 17, 18 & 19, 2013 at the Hoffman Auditorium in the Bruyette Athenaeum of the University of Saint Joseph on Asylum Avenue in West Hartford.

The Wizard of Oz is based on the book written by L. Frank Baum, with music and lyrics from the MGM Motion Picture Score, featuring the hit songs "Over the Rainbow," "Follow the Yellow Brick Road," "We’re Off to See the Wizard" and "Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead." Performances are on May 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m., and on May 18 and 19 at 2 p.m.

Under the direction of Lori Solak, Connecticut Family Theatre is increasingly recognized as a leading teaching theatre in Connecticut. CFT offers theatre education and performance opportunities to youth ages 6-18, serving students from all corners of Connecticut and Massachusetts.
