Construction Wrapping Up on East Granby Project

Workers will be cleaning up and landscaping the area.

State contractors working on the Greater Springfield Reliability Project will be wrapping up some activities in East Granby this week. The project is aimed at stabilizing the electrical system in the greater Springfield and north-central Connecticut areas.

According to the East Granby website, contractors may be inspecting stabilization controls along the right-of-way. Until stabilization is complete, workers may be mulching and seeding in the area. Afterward, the silt fences will be removed.

Around Hatchett Hill Road, crews will be working to restore the area to its pre-construction condition. Workers may be removing construction pads and unneeded access roads.
