East Granby Democrats Donate to Food Bank

The East Granby Democratic Town Committee recently made a $1,350 donation to the East Granby Food Bank. This fulfilled the pledge made during the power outage in late November. At that time the decision was made to divert funds intended for campaign mailings to the Friend to Friend organization of East Granby.

"Seeing the efforts of all the volunteers, and the difference they made in the lives of people in a true crisis, inspired the cessation of campaigning," said Mike Malloy, chairman of the East Granby Democratic Town Committee. "Politics is an afterthought in situations like that. It was the right thing to do."
