East Granby Lions Club Rubber Duck Derby is Sept. 6

The event will be held at Granbrook Park.

The East Granby Lions Club Rubber Duck Derby is set for Sept. 6., 2014. The location of this event is Granbrook Park on Granbrook Park Road off of Rte. 189/Hartford Avenue, on the south side of the road between R&N Tire and Valley Fish Market.

The second annual Rubber Duck Derby will feature raffles and prizes. There will be fun activities throughout the day between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., live music by the Bristol Old Tyme Fiddlers, food, refreshments and other fun activities. The official duck splashdown is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the old railroad bridge.

The derby will last about 7 minutes from start to finish. Prizes are listed below and will be awarded to the sponsors of the first four ducks to reach the finish line.

The price is $5.00 per duck entered. Tickets are available by contacting the East Granby Lions by calling (860) 658-0623 up until 1:00 p.m. on the day of the derby. QuackPack’s of 5 tickets for $25.00 available. Winners need not be present to receive prizes.
