
“East Granby Public Library's 11th Annual Juried Art Show”
The East Granby Public Library, 24 Center Street, will proudly host its 11th Annual Juried Art Show beginning Saturday, January 25th. This popular event attracts visitors from all over NewEngland.
The juried art show, with categories for oil or acrylic paintings, pastel or graphic arts, watercolors, and sculpture or mulitmedia, will be accepting hand-delivered
Our juror, NC Whitcher, is a Connecticut artist who works as a printmaker, painter and multimedia artist. Her artwork is about energy, color and excitement. She utilizes a variety of media and composition to convey emotions and a sense of time or place. She keeps an active exhibiting schedule in national and regional shows, juried competitions and commercial galleries in both solo and group exhibits. She has received awards for monotypes, oil and acrylic paintings, and stoneware vessels. Her grants, honors, and awards include artist-in-residence at the Vermont Studio Center, and a National Endowment for the Arts participant grant for drawing and painting at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is the current President of the Connecticut Women Artists. ncwhitcher.net.

entries Thursday, Jan. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 18 from 9 a.m. to
2 p.m. at the library. Entry Fees: $20 for first entry, $10 for second entry,
$10 for child entry. Checks should be made out to: East Granby Public Library.
