East Granby Residents Invited To “Adopt” Local Roads
Participants will have their group recognized with a roadside sign along the stretch of road they maintain.
EAST GRANBY, CT — Residents, businesses, and community groups have an opportunity to help keep local roads clean while earning some recognition along the way.
The Town of East Granby is seeking volunteers for its Adopt-A-Road Program, an initiative that encourages individuals and organizations to take responsibility for maintaining a stretch of roadway throughout the year.
Participants agree to adopt a road segment roughly one to two miles long and complete three cleanups annually. The town’s Department of Public Works provides safety gear, trash bags, and training to support volunteers.

Those interested in participating must sign up through a Google form available on the town’s website or contact the East Granby Department of Public Works by April 30. Questions can be directed to DPW staff member Kim at 860-653-6822 or kimc@egtownhall.com.
Town officials say the program offers a simple way for residents to protect the environment, build community pride, and make a visible difference in East Granby.
