East Granby Update: No School Friday, Power in Town Being Restored

East Granby public schools are closed until Wednesday, as the power outage caused the cancellation of classes on Friday and this Monday and Tuesday are professional development days.

Schools in East Granby will be closed Friday, Nov. 4, as the vast majority of town endures life without power for a sixth consecutive day.

East Granby First Selectman Jim Hayden said that there were several CL&P crews working in the area, and that the town had been labeled a "priority."

"We expect to have additional power by tomorrow, and power in a lot of the town by Sunday," Hayden said.
