NEW BRITAIN – Nancy Frede of Frede Enterprises LLC will offer a free “Find a Job” workshop and resource fair for ages 22-65 on Thursday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to noon at ITBD/CCSU, 185 Main St., New Britain.
Those who attend will learn how to identify transferrable skills and strengths, update their resume and cover letter, and use the website onetonline.org. They will receive interview tips, job search tips, information on networking and volunteering, and guidance on whether to open a business.
There will also be exhibits of nonprofit organizations and professionals who can help with job search, finance and legal issues. Exhibit space is free but registration for table space is necessary.
For admission, please bring a can of food that will be donated to a local food pantry. The event is co-sponsored by Farmington Bank.
Parking is available at a discounted price to those who register by email or phone for the workshop and resource fair.
