Fire and Ice, Gifts of Love Gala Benefit

This year's event features a Fire & Ice theme (wait until you see the décor!), and includes live and silent auctions, a 50/50 raffle, gourmet food stations and fabulous hors d'oeuvres (think Dish-n-Dat, Abigail’s, The Meat House, The New England Pasta Company, The Republic, and more!), Wine Tasting by Avon Wine & Spirits, Thomas Hooker Brewery tasting, Cake Gypsy desserts and cupcakes, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Bar, cash bar including signature cocktails, performance artists, and dancing to a rockin' band, Poor Gordon!   Dress is cocktail attire and you can decide whether you want to sizzle or sparkle (or both!).

There will also be a drawing for a $500 shopping spree at The Shoppes at Farmington Valley!

As many of you know, this is Gifts of Love annual fundraiser, raising much needed funds for their food and nutrition programs and services including their weekend food backpack program for kids, their food pantry and other programs which help local families in need. Without successful fundraisers like this gala, it would not be possible to meet the needs of struggling working families who cannot make ends meet due to a variety of circumstances.  Gifts of Love meets families’ most basic needs so that they can focus on putting their lives back in order and regaining their independence.  I’m proud to be on the committee and helping Gifts of Love and our neighbors in need, and I hope that you will, too.
