Another Super Sunday program will be presented on Feb. 10th, with Elizabeth Wood, a 'living history' docent from the Storrowton Village Museum! Ms. Wood will play the role of Gertrude Failing Groff, who immigrated from Germany to the U.S. in 1900, worked in the garment district, and then eventually migrated up to Springfield. Groff's life offers an intimate view of what life was like for an immigrant woman in the early 1900s; there will be a Q&A period afterward and light refreshments available. Please pre-register for this event as space is limited; call 860.653.8958 (Cossitt Library) or 860.844.5275 if Cossitt is closed (however there is an answering machine at Cossitt to take messages).
