Granby Grange #5 is sponsoring a Benefit Jam Session from 7:00 to 10:00 PM at the Grange Hall (212 North Granby Road aka CT Rt, 189 in Granby) on Friday 28 DEC 2012, with a probable repeat on 25 JAN 2013, weather permitting.
Come to play music with others, come to dance, come to just listen, but please, "Y'all come!" If you wish to perform in an open mike type format, singly or as a musical group, please call Grange Master RoseAnna at 860-816-2721 and let her know. Ditto if you would like to "call" some of the dances.
Format will emulate the former "Gong Show" TV series, with dancers and attendees voting for which jamming muscian or group is "elected" to continue playing. Voting will be done by placing a slip of paper marked either AYE or NAY in a hat on the stage in front of the musician or group. Prizes are planned, as a function of the longevity of each musician or group on the stage.

The evening is completely alcohol free, but attendees are urged to donate what they would have spent on such beverages for the night if they had gpone elesewhere. All such donations will be delivered to the children's emergency services department at the hospital serving Newtown, CT.
Limited refreshments will be available for sale, and proceees from that will benefit our kitchen upgrade fund.
