Haunted Miniature Golf at Farmington Miniature Golf and Ice Cream! Things get super-duper spooky at Farmington Miniature Golf and Ice Cream during our annual Haunted Miniature Golf event! You and your kids will have a ton of fun playing a round of spooky mini golf this Halloween season!

Ride the Shore Line Trolley to the Haunted Isle! Take the trolley to the gates of the Haunted Isle and enter if you dare! Meet your nightmares in person and scream hysterically as ghoulish frights await at every turn. Good walking shoes are recommended as the Isle is a wooded outdoor path.
Explore the Corn Maze at Lyman Orchards! With more than two miles of twisting and winding pathways carved within four acres of towering cornstalks, a hundred decision points, and just one way out, getting lost in our Annual Corn Maze will be a lot of fun!

Friends and Family Day at the Trash Museum! Have fun learning about REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE; and RETHINK! View the recycling center, scavenger hunt in the Temple of Trash, make a craft, operate a toy conveyor belt, see the movie “Recycle Rex”, meet red wiggler worm composters and more!
Halloween Pet Parade at the Ellington Farmers Market! Bring your family to the Ellington Farmers Market for fresh food, amazing products, entertainment, demonstrations and more! It’ll be a spectacular day in the great outdoors for you and your kids!
Family Movie: Planes! at the Farmington Library. Families are invited to our Saturday family movie program. Join us for Planes! No registration required.
Scarecrow Contest at Strong Family Farm. Our Annual Scarecrow Contest is open to all ages, individuals, families, clubs, groups & businesses. There are many categories including Farmer’s Choice. Set Up run Sept. 27th - Oct. 4th on the farm.

Fall Foliage Train Rides at the Railroad Museum of New England in Thomaston. The hills are alive - with the colors of autumn! See the splendor with your family as you take a fun train ride with the Railroad Museum of New England! Your kids will thank you.
Oktoberfest at Hunter Mountain Ski Area and Resort. German Heritage at Hunter Mountain, and join in an old-world tradition. Enjoy German-American music, Austrian music and local bands and family activities including pumpkin painting and crafts all for free!
Family Sunday at the New England Carousel Museum: Fall Foliage Handprint Trees! Visit the New England Carousel Museum in Bristol and learn how our antique horses were carved 100 years ago! Then, carve your own animal out of soap! Your kids will have a lot of fun at this program!
Pumpkin Patch Excursion at the Connecticut Trolley Museum. Catch a trolley to our pumpkin patch where kids can look for their favorite pumpkin. Catch the next trolley car back to the Visitors Center where your children can paint faces on their selection and have their faces painted too!
