Two middle and two high school students were honored Wednesday evening for their show of leadership in the Granby school district.

Granby Board of Education Chairman Cal Heminway presented four students with CABE student leadership awards on Wednesday evening.
Among the students recognized were Granby Memorial High School seniors Zachary Bigus and Elizabeth Markee-Behrends. Granby Memorial Middle School eighth grade students Molly Hammack and Ben Karlson were also honored.
Heminway said the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education’s main mission is to advocate for and provide education for local school boards, with a major consideration being leadership for both school board members and students.
