MONDAY, Acting/Singing for Musical Theatre (age 8-16) by Mark Perman4:00 – 6:00PM ~ $190Performing in Musical Theatre is a special art. It requires good singing, a strong interpretive ability, and the ability to bring life, humor, and energy to written word. We will explore musical theater looking at traditional Broadway material: Rogers and Hammerstien, Jerome Kern, Lerner and Lowe, to the more contemporary materials such as Rent, Les Miserables, Phantom, and Wicked. Students should leave the class with at least one song they can use for auditions. Part of the journey is to find material and explore roles that are right for you.
