Farmington Valley Visitors Association Elects Officers, Hands Out Awards
First-ever EF-VEE Awards given out to mark the association's 20th anniversary year.

Members of the Farmington Valley Visitors Association (FVVA) wrapped up their 20th anniversary year Sept. 15 with a dinner and annual meeting at Farmington Gardens. Executive Director Nancy Anstey reported on the year’s achievements and officers were elected. They are: Aimee Petras of Farmington River Watershed Association, president; Cindie Cagenello of Hill-Stead Museum, vice president; Robin DiNicola of Simsbury Bank, treasurer; and Maura Fitzgerald of The Hair Loft, secretary.
FVVA also handed out the first-ever EF-VEE Awards. The winners are:
Lodging, The Simsbury Inn
Outdoor Adventure, tie between Heublein Tower and Farmington Valley Trails Council
Golf Course: Simsbury Farms
Children’s Activities: tie between Farmington Miniature Golf & Ice Cream Parlor and Roaring Brook Nature Center
Historic Sites/Museums: tie between Canton Historical Museum and Hill-Stead Museum
Antiques: tie between Antiques on the Farmington and The Salmon Brook Shops
Pizza: Little City Pizza Co.
Coffee/Snack: The Coffee Trade
Casual Dining: LaSalle Market & Deli
Finer Dining: Abigail’s
Ice Cream: Tulmeadow Farm
Shopping Area: The Shoppes at Farmington Valley
