Good-bye for Now - and Thanks! This Wednesday is Last Day at East Granby Farmers Market

This Wednesday brings an end to the 2013 season at East Granby Farmers Market. The Committee would like to thank all of you - the market customers, our vendors, our community sponsors, and others who have helped us - for supporting another successful season of bringing fresh and wholesome food to East Granby.
Be sure to come by and stock up on fall produce, such as onions, broccoli, winter squash and pumpkins, as well as apples and many other fruits and veggies. Many of these items can be fresh-frozen, as can some of the exceptional artisan breads and baked goods available at the Market. And don't forget to stock your shelves with local meats, cheeses, maple products, fruit preserves.
Some of our vendors also have farm stores that are open during late fall and even winter - so be sure to ask!
Anything String, the fiddle and guitar duet of Nola Campbell and Jen Hosack, will be returning to the Market again this week and will be performing their old time traditional fiddle music.
All our regular vendors will be here: Chet's Italian Ice, George Hall Farm, Hastings Farm, Hemlock Knoll, Lost Acres Orchard, Newgate Farm, Oxen Hill Farm, Raw Food Central, Sweet Pea Farm, and Sweet Wind Farm - plus Briarwoods Farm.
Please be sure and stop in to say hello to our Committee members: Lee Sandora (Committee Chair), Lisa Salazar (Market Manager), Aimee Gilbert, Jim Hayden, Dave Holl, Melien Lavoie, Paul Oliva, Marie Sandora, and Tami Zawistowski.
East Granby Farmers Market is a farm-oriented venue for the very best in Connecticut grown produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and other handmade and locally harvested items. The Market is run entirely by volunteers, and vendor fees directly benefit the East Granby Public Library.
See you next year!
