Granby Football Ready for First-Ever Playoff Game
The Bears host Seymour Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the first round of the Class S state playoffs.

At the beginning of this decade, Granby Memorial High School played its first varsity football season, posting an 0-10 record while being outscored 334-115.
Five years later, after improving each subsequent season (2-8, 4-6, 6-5 and 7-4), the turnaround is complete. The Bears finished the 2015 regular season with a 10-0 mark, outscoring their opponents by a 361-86 margin.
On Tuesday, Granby makes its first-ever appearance in the state football playoffs, hosting Seymour at 6:30 p.m.

The Bears are 10-0 and seeded third in Class S. Seymour (9-1) is the No. 6 seed.
The winner will play the winner of the Bloomfield/East Catholic matchup in the semifinals Monday, at the home of the higher seed.
