Bears improve record to 8-0 with 3-0 victory over East Granby Friday.

The Granby Memorial girls soccer team didn't suffer a letdown after its emotional come-from-behind victory over Suffield, improving its record to 8-0 with a 3-0 win over East Granby High in East Granby on Friday afternoon.

Gabby Dixon, Caroline Wutka and Kristen Forbes each scored for the Bears, who earlier in the day were ranked fifth in the state in the Hartford Courant's small schools poll compiled by Matt Conyers.

It was the fifth clean sheat of the year for Granby, which has yielded just four goals in eight matches, two of which came in an 8-2 victory over Canton on Oct. 1.
