Granby Memorial, East Granby High Tournament Matchups

After a week-long delay, the high school sports tournament schedules were released today by the CIAC.

Among the highlights, the Granby Memorial High field hockey team is poised for another deep run in Class S, garnering the No. 3 seed.

The undefeated Bears' girls soccer team earned the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in Class M, where they could face a rematch with No. 18 Enfield, the only team in the NCCC that the Bears failed to beat. (Granby tied Enfield 1-1 in October.)

In East Granby, the boys soccer team had its best regular season in recent memory, going 10-4-1, which garnered a No. 6 seed in Class S.

Granby Memorial High

Boys Soccer Class M (@Bacon Academy Nov. 11, 2 p.m.): No. 17 Granby Memorial (8-4-3) v. No. 16 Bacon Academy (10-5-1)

Field Hockey Class S (@Granby Memorial Nov. 10, 2 p.m.) No. 3 Granby Memorial (13-1) v. No. 14 Wamogo (6-8-1-1)

Girls Soccer Class M (@Granby Memorial Nov. 12, 2 p.m.) The No. 2 seeded Bears (14-0-1) have a first-round bye and are scheduled to face the winner of No. 15 North Branford (14-2-2)/No. 18 Enfield (9-5-2) in the second round.

Girls Volleyball Class M (@Granby Memorial Nov. 10, 7 p.m.) No. 15 Granby Memorial (9-7) v. No. 19 New Fairfield (10-8)

East Granby

Boys Soccer Class S: No. 6 East Granby (10-4-1) has a bye in the first round, and is scheduled to play the winner of No. 11 Immaculate (8-5-3)/No. 22 Parish Hill (6-8-2) on Nov. 14 in East Granby

Girls Soccer Class S (@Somers Nov. 10, 2 p.m.) No. 21 East Granby (6-9) v. No. 12 Somers (8-7).
