The boys basketball team continued its roller coaster season with a 58-49 loss to Coventry in the NCCC tournament quarterfinals at Avon High Saturday.

The loss snapped Granby Memorial's four-game winning streak, which propelled the Bears (10-11, 9-8 NCCC) in the state Class M tournament; the Bears will find out their opponent on Feb. 29.

Granby Memorial, which was the tournament's No. 6 seed, defeated Coventry, the No. 3 seed, 53-42 at home during the regular season on Feb. 17.
