Granby Memorial Wins Basketball Tournament Opener

Tuesday was a brutal evening for north central Connecticut teams in the CIAC state basketball and ice hockey tournaments, as just five of 17 teams from the area emerged victorious.

Granby Memorial opened the Class M boys basketball tournament with a 70-53 win over Haddam-Killingworth.
