Granby Middle Schoolers Show Off Derivative Masterpieces
Six students displayed their work to the members of the Board of Education on Wednesday evening.
teacher Jeannie Bryanton and six of her students spoke about the National Junior Art Honor Society at the regular meeting of the Board of Education on Wednesday evening.
Hannah Crose, Bridget Snyder, Elizabeth Fetzner, Georgia Snyder, Rose Nguyen and Meghan Sawtelle all displayed pieces they are working on to the members of the school board.
The pieces are meant to be derivative of classic works, as the students were tasked with recreating a masterpiece while changing one thing.
Nguyen changed DaVinci’s Mona Lisa by giving her hair the style that Nguyen’s was before she cut it.
