Granby Resident Inducted into Connecticut Softball Hall of Fame
After more than three decades as a fast-pitch player, he now trains pitchers at a top-notch facility in Granby.

GRANBY, CT — George Perlotto, owner of a nationally-recognized softball training facility in Granby, was one of eight honorees inducted Oct. 1 into the Connecticut Amateur Softball Association Hall of Fame.
In a fast-pitch playing career spanning four decades from 1961 to 1993, Perlotto played over 1,100 games and compiled a lifetime batting average over .370, with his top mark being .472 in 1970.
He also achieved stardom as a pitcher, racking up 379 victories against just 98 losses. He struck out over 3,000 hitters and recorded a lifetime earned-run average of 2.42.

Following his playing days, Perlotto began giving pitching lessons out of his then-home in Windsor. In 2005, he built a facility in Granby, which become Fastpitch Dynamics, LLC.
He averages 25-30 students per year, most of whom have achieved success in high school, travel ball and at the collegiate level.

His students have been accorded honors such as Connecticut Pitcher of the Year and CIAC All-State selections. Three of his pitchers have been NCAA All-Americans, with one going on to pitch at the professional level.
Over 10 years, Perlotto has placed 60 pitchers in college programs, with the majority at Division I.
