Granby Storm Update from Town Hall
The following information was released from Town Hall on Nov. 3.

About 75 percent of Granby remains without power, with most stores in the town center open for business.
The following was released from Granby Town Hall this morning:
TREES AND BRUSH
Brush and tree removal effort from roadways will be occurring around town.
The Department of Public Works will be coordinating a residential brush disposal program as soon as conditions are deemed safe.
TRASH
Trash and Recycling schedule is delayed by one day during the week of
Oct. 31st – Nov. 5th.
SHOWERS
YMCA has made their facility available to the public for showers. It is required you bring your ID and your own shower supplies (soap, shampoo, towels). Location: 97 Salmon Brook Street, 860-653-5524
POWER RESTORATION
As power is restored, power lines may be “LIVE” so please use caution.
For downed power lines across trees, please notify CL&P individually at 860-947-2000.
CL&P crews are clearing downed wires and our Public Works and Fire Department crews are assisting with cutting branches. CL&P is estimating that most households will have power restored by midnight on Sunday. As of Wednesday, some power has been reestablished in the center of town.
CL&P is asking that you check the condition of your junction box attached to the outside of your home. If it has pulled away, you will need to call an electrician to reconnect the box. By doing this now, CL&P will be able to expedite the restoration of power to your home when your service line is repaired.
