Granby Swimmer Excels at Class S Championships
A Bear junior had a pair of runnerup finishes in the class meet Tuesday at Wesleyan University.
MIDDLETOWN, CT - A Granby Memorial High School junior turned in an impressive performance Tuesday at the Class S boys swimming championships at Wesleyan University.
Make that two impressive performances.
Grant Kimble, a junior, finished second in both the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle events.
In the finals, he shaved nearly a full second off his 200 time, and 1.35 seconds off his 500 best.
His efforts propelled the Bears into 11th place in the team competition out of 30 entries.
