Granby Veteran Fred Davis was banned from a Cabela's store after he made a mistake on a gun transaction form.

A Granby veteran’s ordeal at a Cabela’s store has gained attention after he was banned from the store after making a mistake on a gun purchase transaction form.

Fred Davis, 65, filled required computerized forms to purchase a handgun at the Cabela’s in East Hartford, but realized he made a mistake and he was denied, according to the Hartford Courant.

Davis moved to another computer terminal where he correctly filled out the form and was approved. A salesperson said he wasn’t sure which form Davis lied on and that he would be banned from the store, according Davis’ account in the Courant.
