Great Need for Groceries in Granby

100+ individuals and families currently utilize the Granby Food Bank Program for assistance and need your help.

The Granby Food Bank Program is in dire need of donations! As you grocery shop for back-to-school lunches and Labor Day picnics, please consider adding a few non-perishable food items, pet care products, basic household necessities, or cleaning products to your shopping cart.

100+ individuals and families currently utilize the Granby Food Bank Program for assistance with their weekly grocery needs. This important community service is run by volunteers and subsists solely on donations from the community. A seasonal lack of donations during the summer months, coupled with increasing numbers of local residents requesting assistance with access to essential nutrition, have prompted this widespread appeal to our neighbors.

The “most wanted” items are canned soups, canned meats, pasta sauce, cereal, coffee, salad dressing, cookies, juice, juice boxes, dish soap, laundry detergent, boxes of tissues, and pet food. Other useful donations include toilet tissue, paper towels, canned fruits and vegetables, meal starters, pasta, peanut butter, jelly, condiments, baking items, and cleaning products.
