Holiday Tradition of Belled Wreaths Continues at Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home

In the holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life,” the ringing of a bell signifies that another angel has received its wings. It is in this spirit that Carmon Community Funeral Homes created a special remembrance program – one that has become a holiday tradition for the 67-year-old family-owned firm.

During the month of December, Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home on 364 Salmon Brook St. in Granby and several of the other locations will feature nondenominational holiday wreaths with bells.

“We create these belled wreaths as a way of honoring the individuals we served over the past year,” explains John C. Carmon, President of Carmon Community Funeral Homes. “We will provide a bell ornament as a special remembrance to those families we served who request one, and also to anyone else who wants to remember a loved one who recently died.”
