Simsbury's Hop Meadow Country Club Member Kevin Foster Wins CSGA Mid-Am

Congratulations to Kevin Foster - 2nd CSGA Mid-Am Championship hosted at HMCC - a few words from the champ:

“It’s really exciting for me,” said Foster. “It’s been a few years since I won by first Mid-Amateur back in 1998, and I’ve won a couple of [Connecticut] Senior Open’s since then, but winning at your home club is really special. I was fortunate to have a lot of Hop Meadow members and friends out watching today, and that support was really helpful especially on a long day like today where we’re playing 36-holes. I’m really proud to be a member here and it was a great chance for us to show off our golf course to some of the best players in the state.”

Also representing Hop Meadow Country Club, Dr. Jeff Kaye (T18) and Ivan Lendl (T37) both made the cut and played some solid golf throughout the tournament.
