September Begins at East Granby Farmers Market - plus a Shout-out to our Community Sponsors

Labor Day weekend has ushered us into September, and (alas!) the final month of our 2013 Farmers Market.  We're now starting to see more fall produce appear, including apples, pears and all sorts of winter squash, but thanks to a cool and wet June, lots of summer produce is still being picked and brought to our Market.

All our regular vendors will be at the market this week:  Chet's Italian Ice, George Hall Farm, Hastings Farm, Hemlock Knoll, Lost Acres Orchard, Newgate Farm, Oxen Hill Farm, Raw Food Central, Sweet Pea Farm, and Sweet Wind Farm.  Plus, for the final time this season, we'll have Beading Adventures and Salsa Loca.

If you've stopped by the Manager's Tent at the market, you may have noticed our banner with the names and logos of our Community Sponsors.  The generous contributions of our sponsors pay for our signs and other marketing, on-site sanitary facilities, and other expenses associated with running the Market.  This enables us to donate proceeds from the vendor fees to the East Granby Public Library, which then uses the funds for the benefit of our community.

Our 2013 Community Sponsors are:  Allstate Records Storage; Bradley Regional Chamber of Commerce; Delta Industries; First National Bank of Suffield; Galasso Materials, LLC; Granby Dental Center - Dr. Michael Ungerleider; Joining Technologies; Kinsley Power Systems; Northwest Community Bank; Nufern; RSCC (Rockbestos) Wire & Cable LLC; Simtech, Inc.  We truly appreciate their generosity and support for our community.

East Granby Farmers Market is a farm-oriented venue for the very best in Connecticut grown produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and other handmade and locally harvested items.  The Market is open from 3 - 6PM on Wednesdays, June 19th through September 25th, 2013, and is located at The Center Shops, corner of Routes 20 and 187, in the center of East Granby.  The Market is run entirely by volunteers, and vendor fees directly benefit the East Granby Public Library.
