Meet William Gillette, who portrayed Sherlock Holmes and his love wife Helen on Sunday, April 21 starting at 2 p.m. at Simsbury United Methodist Church. Harold and Theodora Niver become the Gillettes to teach and entetrain audience members about Gillette Castle and the story behind the image of Holmes--the cap, the pipe and the lens. Refreshments will be served, there will be music from the English Music Hall era.
Tickets are $5 per person or $15 per family, available at the door. The program is sponsored by Simsbury United Methodist Women.
