More Snow On Its Way, Basketball, And Patch Social Media

Feb. 4, 2011

Today is Friday Jan. 4, 2011 and there are 330 days left in the year.  It's another snow-free day here in the Granbys and the sun will be shining with a high of 32 degrees.  Tonight clouds will begin to move into the area and bring with them a chance of more snow on Saturday.    Check back on The Granbys Patch for more updates on your weekend weather.

Attention high school basketball fans, it's not snowing so the game is on.  Tonight the Granby boys basketball team takes on Suffield High.  The game is at Granby Memorial High School in the upper gym and starts at 7 p.m.   This event is free and open to the public.

The East Granby boys basketball team will also hit the court tonight when they play against Windsor Locks High.  The game will be played on East Granby's turf at the East Granby High School gym.  Game starts at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

If you need another reason to get out of the house tonight or you just need to have a little fun after work, stop by the Farmington Valley YMCA.  Tonight is co-ed Adult Drop-In Volleyball at the Y.  Anyone age 16 and up can come out to spike and set until your heart's content.  Game starts at 7:30 and goes until 10 p.m. Break out your exercise shorts and hit the courts.
