NEW CHIROPRACTIC OFFICE OPENS IN SIMSBURY

Dr. Michael Ijomah is happy to announce the opening of the Musculoskeletal Health Center at 381 Hopmeadow Street, Suite 303 in Simsbury.

The Musculoskeletal Health Centers is built on the principle that surgical intervention and medications should never be the first step to treating health problems. Our chiropractic physicians thoroughly diagnose the underlying cause of musculoskeletal health problems and then apply evidence-based clinical outcomes to achieve positive results quickly. We recognize that chiropractic medicine will not resolve all ailments, and do not hesitate to refer a patient to an appropriate physician if we determine that the patient would benefit from the care of another specialist. We are dedicated to working with our patients to find the most appropriate and effective treatment plan for each individual.

Dr. Ijomah graduated from the University of Connecticut and University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. He manages the operations of the practice. He is an active member of the American Chiropractic Association and a passionate advocate for the advancement of chiropractic medicine. He strongly believes that understanding the root cause of a problem through thorough diagnoses leads to effective treatment or management of that problem, rather than simply treating the symptoms. Dr. Ijomah is also an adjunct professor at Quinebaug Valley Community College.

Dr. Joyce Chung Quiros graduated from the University of Connecticut and New York Chiropractic College. She has been practicing Chiropractic since 2003. She is dedicated to improving her patients’ quality of life through chiropractic, acupuncture, education, nutrition, and physiotherapy. Her chiropractic techniques include Diversified, Drop, Activator, extremity adjusting, Active Release Technique, and myofascial release. Dr. Joyce uses several therapies including moxibustion, heat/cold, trigger point, and Guasha. As a mother of 2, she is committed to helping children stay as healthy as possible and specializes in family wellness. She is Webster certified and has helped treat conditions such as sports related injuries, arthritis, headaches, infertility, prenatal discomfort, colic, ear infections, post-partum depression, stress, and anxiety. Dr. Joyce stays current with the newest techniques and protocols through continuing education and wellness seminars. Dr. Joyce supports the use of both alternative medicine and traditional western medicine to harmoniously reach individuals’ optimal health and wellness.

Xenia A. Perrica, LMT, AMTA member brings 10 years of therapeutic massage experience to Simsbury. Her massage therapy career has been based in private practice and consultation to both individuals and corporations in CT following her graduation from the renowned Cayce Reilly Institute in 2004. In addition, Xenia holds several specialty certifications and practices restorative and preventative massage therapy. She specializes in Sports Therapy, Injury and Accident Rehabilitation; the relief of chronic pain patterns, geriatric massages and stress management. Holding certifications from several renowned massage institutes, Xenia has also worked extensively with palliative care and medically compromised clients.

Aralinde Herzig (Lindy for short) grew up in the northwest corner of Connecticut before moving to Boston to attend school. Lindy is back in the area now and is currently working towards a degree in the medical field. She is very excited to be a part of MSH and she looks forward to playing a role in the center’s growth and development.
