New Sunday Evening Catholic Mass in Area

St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in the Tariffville section of Simsbury has announced the addition of a 6 p.m. Mass on Sundays effective January 4 and continuing on a trial basis through May.

This Mass provides a convenient new option for Catholics throughout Greater Hartford who may have difficulty getting to Mass on a given Saturday evening or Sunday morning due to weather, conflicts with sports, travel, or other commitments.

“We welcome visitors from the many parishes in the area that do not have Sunday afternoon or evening Masses,” said The Rev. Joseph “Jay” Cretella, Pastor. “The options are limited in the area at this time and we invite one and all to experience our small-town, close-knit parish.”

St. Bernard’s Church is located at 7 Maple Street in Tariffville. Plentiful and easy off-street parking is available in the Church’s parking lot, located near the church’s back entrance and handicapped-accessible ramp.
