No. 1 Answer: East Granby Women's Club to Host 'Survey Says'

Fundraiser will bring about $3,000 to the East Granby Women's Club.

Seven teams comprised of East Granby residents will get an opportunity to find the No. 1 answer on the board on Saturday evening when they compete in the “Survey Says,” a fundraiser modeled after The Family Feud sponsored by the East Granby Women’s Club.

The 4th-annual event, which will be hosted by NBC 30’s Bob Maxon, will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium, according to event Chairperson Ginny Moriarty.

The teams’ participants, who will be in costume, are either town residents or business owners, Moriarty said. Awards will be given out to the winning team, as well as the one with the best costume and the team that raised the most money.

“It’s always a lot of fun,” Moriarty said of Survey Says, which raises about $3,000, making it one of the Women’s Club’s biggest fundraisers.

The money raised goes to support the community, Moriarty said, such as the purchase of museum passes for the , day care scholarships, a college scholarship and pay-to-participate sports at the high school.

Tickets for the Survey Says can be purchased at the door for $5, while children under 5 are admitted free of charge.
